Driver Charges Per Day Please ????

I normally wouldn't have to ask this question, but i've just heard back from my normal driver that his fee for the day(travelling up to lovina and back to ubud) is now 500,000rp, a large increase from last year of 350,000rp(we actually paid him 400,000rp ) because as he said gasoline has increased in price.Is this 500,000rp a fair going rate or should I try to renegotiate with him or maybe shop around a bit more.
