Where 2 stay in the 'middle of nowhere'?

Hi, we're thinking of staying somewhere completely in the middle of nowhere or in a village (but not a homestay) for a few nights in June & I'm just wondering if anyone can think of a good hotel for this, please? I don't want to be tempted to shop, so none of the tourist areas would suit & I'm not overly keen to stay on the Bukit peninsula as we've done that before. We spotted a place that was just on it's own on the way to GitGit, but i can't remember exactly where it was - I should have gone in & asked for a business card! Just to make it harder, we don't want too long a drive (probably not as far as Lovina), we'll be travelling with kids and we're on a bit of a budget! Anywhere that might be around $70/night for a family of 4, ideally! Oh, and we'd like a pool if that's not asking too much!!! Does anyone know of anywhere that might fit the bill, please? Thanks!
