Very interesting JBR. We're spending a week in Jakarta with the inlaws next March before heading to Bali, we're also flying AirAsia, so thanks for the tip on luggage allowance and excess baggage fees, I was wondering about that!

Haven't been to Jakarta for 5 years, where's best these days to shop and eat? Any further tips would be very welcome :)
