It really brought back the memories. My first trip was in 1982, hated it at first as was taken in to Denpasar to the markets but by the enod of my 2 weeks, didn't want to leave. I stayed at the Segard Village, a much smaller hotel then. I remember walking back along the road from the No1 disco and the Matahari nightclub in the Hyatt in the early hours of the morning. Not much along the road then and so safe to wlk then. We had a ball. Who could forgot their first arrival in Bali, landing on the tarmac, the heat hitting you and walking to the tin shed for formalities. We also travelled with a group, met at Perth airport by a rep and again at Bali. Luggage was so much easier then. The less said about the traffic etc now the better. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
