My next 3 trips are all now booked and paid for - Jetstar, Qantas and Singapore airlines.
I spoke with Garuda twice in the last 2 weeks and have been told there are no plans to return a service to Adelaide. Flight connections are hopeless and I have worked it every way I can to give Garuda a go. They offer nothing to people in Adelaide anymore.
I hope Jetstar [or as Dennis loves to call them 'Jetstink'] iron out their problems and continue to offer good special prices as if it is cost effective I dont have issues in flying to the east coast. As I have previously posted when I pay a dollar for a flight, it's a bargain in anyone's language.
Meantime Singapore Airlines have my vote and will continue to do so. They fly out of Adelaide every day of the week. How good is that ? Already two groups of friends in Queensland have also booked to fly Singapore airlines this year.
Garuda have simply cut off their nose to spite their face. It's a great pity they dont see fit to re-instate at least one flight a week Adelaide via Melb / Auckland and Brissy. I keep being told it is because there are not enough forward planned bookings to make it viable for them. Currently it's a lose, lose situation. cheers :-)
