I actually havent stayed there, but when we were at the Bali Garden a few weeks ago we had a look at the Villa as we thought that it would be ideal for our family of 2 adults and 3 kids when we head back to Bali in May. We had seen pictures of it on the internet so we had a bit of an idea before we looked through.
In the end, after looking through the Villa, we decided that it wasn't the best option after all. As mentioed on the forum, the winding stairs up to the top bedroom are steep - steeper than I imagined. There is no bathroom/toilet up there, so if you needed to get to the toilet in a rush, having to first wind your way down the steep stairway ... well we thought that it may not have ended up pretty.
There is a small dining/lounge room, three bedrooms in total and a bathroom with a bath. It has a small kitchen tucked away which is very tired and looks like it needs a good scrub (chances are it is just old rust etc) but it wasn't all that appealing really.
The upside is that it would allow all of your traveling companions to stay close together and have s great time. There is a full size fridge in the Villa!! I suggest that you just have a look when you get there, you may choose to stay in the delux rooms the whole time instead. It comes down to personal preference really.
About the best Delux Rooms - Before we left we asked the same question about 'which room' so if you do a search in December/January you should find the answer to that. Unfortunately we were too tired to haggle over room numbers when we arrived and just kept the 380 that we were allocated. Wish we hadn't. Any room finishing in 80 or 81 would probably be best avoided. The room itself was fine, but on the balcony we were right next to the airconditioner units which serviced all of the main buildings and 4th floor residence. It was quite loud and made sitting on the balcony and enjoying the breeze in the day or balmy evenings much less enjoyable.
To top it off, just outside of our room on the stairs/lobby side was a quest lounge/meeting area. I thought it was great when I first arrived ... that was until a groups of 10-15 tourists regulalry gathered there for a pre-dinner or get togethers. So at times we couldnt find quiet on the balcony or the room ..... oh well, lucky there is so much more to enjoy about Bali than the hotels you stay in.
