this is not meant to sound up myself so to speak we have normally flown business class on Garuda and are allowed 30kg of luggage each this time I talked my 6'7" husband to go economy (not sure he has forgiven me as yet) and merrily packed our bags to come home, we were only sightly overweight and they let us go but three other people checking in when we did were around 15kgs and were hit with an overweight cost of $AUD200 which made all that cheap shopping pretty expensive. Thankfully they did not weight our hand luggage or maybe we would have been paying also.
