Tegal Sari booking

We have just made a booking enquiry for April 2007.
They have asked for payment in full by October 15th.
I would have thought a deposit to secure the booking and the balance one or two months before we go.
So to all the Tegl Sari fans is this what happened to you?
We will stay there but i haven't come across a request to pay in full 6 months prior.
