We have made a booking before with TS and had to pay in full. Was really suprised when they first asked for it but can understand their reasoning.
We unfortunately had to cancel our booking and received our money back in full - no problems what so ever.
I would check their cancellation policy as it may have changed - but you will never need to question their reliability.
