We stayed at Tegal Sari last week, and also paid in full when we made the booking via email.
The Hotel was full last week and we saw a number of hopeful guests being turned away as it was full.
Thanks to Ting, above and her gorgeous husband John, and Jess and Mark, (and we met Ans and Richard too) we first visited them there in 2003 and have stayed 4 times since.
Tegal Sari only has 23 or 24 rooms.
If you are greatly concerned about paying in full now, why not ask them if its ok to pay deposit (which I expect would be non-refundable) and pay balance later.
