to the real world. It should be compulsory for people to work in the world of commerce for at least 10 years before they are allowed to teach. It may give them some idea as to what the students need to be taught & the standards of presentation etc required in the "real" world. If you think about it, teachers spend from age of 6 in the school yard & are insulated from the demands of normal society.
