as a parent if you're kid can't spell, read etc, YOU HAVE FAILED. NOt the system, not some poor overworked blo*dy teacher. It makes me cross to hear of parents who somehow don't want to take the resposibity for how their kids get educated.
On the dressing for respect, I must beg to differ there. I have NEVER respected anyone for how the dress. I respect them for their morals, ethics, values etc. NOt their appearance. I pity anyone who does.
