who is from java but has lived in denpasar most of his life (he is 21). We managed ok with communication but sometimes it was a bit hard. He works in telecommunications (TELKOMSEL) in denpasar so i would presume it would be bahasa indonesian that he speaks?????
Next trip it would be nice to be able to talk a bit easier. Would he speak javanese or balinese or bahasa indonesian. I havn't had the chance to ask him and when i was with him it was hard enough getting what he wanted for dinner out of him let-alone more complicated stuff. I want to try and learn whatever he speaks here in oz so i can relax more next time and both enjoy ourselves. Thanks
