For those interested in hearing the information i just got off a Qantas supervisor(sorry i asked for a supervisor in hope of hearing the correct info) Okay I have just got off the phone for a 2nd time as i forgot to ask 1 question. I hope this helps others.
As of the 1st July all Australian Airlines flights will be taken over by Qantas so all AO flight number will change to QF 138, there will be no immediate changes the planes will most probably still be AO planes but with a QF number GOOD NEWS HERE IS YOU WILL GAIN FF POINTS so anyone flying after 1st JULY you need to urgently quote your FF numnbers in the bookings or you will NOT get points. 2,869 points from DENPASAR TO SYDNEY. At this stage they are sure Qantas will be staying with a limited flights back to Bali, when JETSTAR is introduced it will be additional flights to Bali offering a LOW COSTING CARRIER for choice of low costing packages/flights where yes you will have to pay for drinks and headsets etc but it will work out a low cost flight, I was told basically it will be another choice at a lower pricing and of course will be more frequent than the QF flights. (It will be for those who do not over drink alcohol and don't get their monies worth with all the unlimited alcohol etc, and also those who choose these days not to eat plane food(I am one of these since getting food poisioning X 3 of us on our way home 1 trip, hubby never ate and he was the only one not sick) So will make good business for the likes of Krispy Kremes and Subway and Macas at Sydney airport, Yes they told me people can take food out of Australia they just can't bring food into Australia.
I hope I haven't forgotten to relay anything that we discussed as I was on the phone for a while, the person was extremely helpful and chatty.
