Am reluctant to use cash passport for the reasons you mention. I normally take 2/3 cash and 1/3 t/c for my usual short trips, but it's probably not a great idea to carry about that amount of cash for the upcoming 4 weeks. Am open to any ideas you might have?
( have read if there's a power blackout in Bali you can lose a credit card in the atm?)
