This has always puzzled me - why, when there are so many beautiful (and cheap) small Balinese hotels, with traditional decor, furnishings, glorious gardens, outlooks over padi fields or valleys or mountains, do people want to stay slap bang in Kuta (or Tuban, or Legian) with a million other people? Maybe now's the time to try Desa Tembok, or Sanda, or Soka, or Canggu, or Amed, or Padangbai - or return to Candidasa
