In scenic Lovina (northern coast) many hotels didn't survive the fallout from October'02 and are now empty shells, which is sad. Not to mention the Balinese people there who make our stay memorable are mainly living poorly. One Lovina lady told me she was too busy scrounging out a living to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
