The "BOMB" joke - although not by the Balinese, more the smart-arse Javanese and others, was heard to take in the days after the 2002 bombings.
Defaintely not an atmosphere for first-timers who would struggle to tell the difference between the kind open hearted locals to the people who come from other islands for often undesirable reasons.
After the 2002, defaintely wasn't a place for a non-hard core Bali Traveller.
