I have travelled to bali over 20 times. I have made five trips with my family since the bomb and I have noticed a difference. There is an underlying tension with quite a few young people. This was never there before. Having said that though, I never at any time felt unsafe.
Now I guess i have to decide is it sensible to continue to consider holidaying in Bali. It is very politically unsafe and there is many safer destinations. I know nowhere is 100% safe but do you continue to travel to a destination where even there president says there will be further acts of terrorism. Is that just stupidity.
I don't know and I may think differently when the shock of these bombings wear off.
