Hi All - I DO know it is off topic being a domestic insurance query BUT I hope someone can help .I want to get a really good domestic travel insurance policy - including full cover on a brand new laptop for $2,500
As most of you know I am about to head off to Perth in a couple of days for one of my Migro cousin's wedding's in Freo & will also catching up with Perth forumites.I am only staying with family & friends so didn't think much of travel insurance until my darling husband bought me a brand new lap top two days ago.
As many of you know my other passion - other than travelling is family history.Our work laptop that is under warrantee & has died & last time they took a month to fix it so HE bought me a new one to go to Perth with BUT I sure want to have it covered by insurance.
I HAD to have a laptop to go to Perth with to do my genealogy research.I found out tonight when I rang our insurance company that our home insurance does NOT cover us for laptops or mobile phones IF out of the house - maybe check with your insurance companies for next time you travel in Oz or OS - just to make sure.
Anyway I need help & suggestions for who is a decent company for domestic travel insurance & who will cover a brand new lap top .Any suggestions ? Anyone had any experience on getting a decent policy for domestic travel ?
