lombok and ubud

we are planning a trip to Bali but this time was going to add either a few days at Lombok, or a few days stay at Ubud. Has anyone any info on either. What is there to do at Lombok? we don't mind relaxing, but prefer to be doing something most days. Are there any markets at Lombok, and what days are they open?

Please any feedback would be helpful to help us make a decision.
