My wife and I have stayed in Ubud at the Tjampuhan and Ubud Village many times in the past. There is lots to do in and around Ubud. Hire a driver or motor bike as it is safe to ride up there. You will not be disapponited with Ubud.
Lombok: We have stayed at the Sengiggi Hotel many times as well. Quite place with a good inlet to snorkel in. If you want a day ride in a long boat to Gili islands is also a good day out. You can shop in Marthram ? as it is very nice as well. Small market at Sengiggi and also at the lights turning right coming from the airport to Sengiggi. This one is very smelly though. Hire motor bikes or a driver and go towards Gili island along the road and up over the hill back to the airport and this is a really good trip as you many different sites.
