who have had a bit of fun with this thread.

I'm sorry that one person got upset over something I mentioned as being one of the things which are totally of no concern to me [ie 0 out of 10], but which I acknowledge is of concern to some.

I realise that suffering regular discrimination, for whatever reason, can cause a person to be very sensitive and ready to defend him/herself. But any retaliatory attack, even if justified, should be directed at the appropriate targets. So far as I can see, not one person on this thread has made any homophobic comments. So no-one on this thread deserves to be attacked.

In case you are still unsure as to my attitude on this subject, I will say a little more about myself. I am hetero and so was my wife, who I sadly lost over three years ago. But some of the best times of our life together were spent in predominantly gay company. We were regulars at Feathers Restaurant in Northbridge [Perth] and also at Charlotte's Theatre Restaurant. We had great times at the fancy dress Arts Balls, one time got our photo in the Sunday Times dressed as Rio de Janeiro Mardi Gras dancers. Back when the Perth Parade was still controversial, we went along to watch and everyone was having so much fun that we joined in and marched. Saw a number of friends and neighbours in the crowd, gave them a wave and a smile, really enjoyed ourselves.

BTW, I think I may know the JBR your friend posted, but I won't guess, I'll let you tell us. And I'm really pleased that you enjoyed your time together in Bali.
