First of all you need to make sure your mobile in unlocked. That means you need to see if all sim cards work in your mobile. Like check a optus sim + Telstra sim. If they both work, your mobile is unlocked. If 1 of them dont work your mobile is locked and you will need to pay to have it unlocked. I can unlock Nokia mobiles for a fee of $5.
If you have a mobile that is unlocked, you can buy a Bali sim card at matahari - ground floor. A Mentari Sim is only 25,000Rp. I find this way works well for me. It cheap. Have a good trip.
