What is a sim blocked phone?
A sim blocked phone is when a phone is purchased from a carrier (Optus, Vodafone, Telstra, etc.) and only the sim cards that came with that carrier will work.
How can I tell if my phone is sim blocked?
To tell if your phone is sim block all you have to do is get another sim card from another carrier from which you originally bought it and if the phone starts up and you can go through your menu's then you do not have a sim lock, but if your phone comes up with a message such as "Insert correct sim" then your phone is sim blocked.
