We stay at Puri Raja every year. It is a well run hotel built in 1991. This means that it is to the standard that was modern then. Their maintenance is good and the hotel has not deteriorated like other hotels of that age. It consists of three blocks that are double story. The middle block consists of 8 rooms. The ground floor rooms are 120 to 123 and the upstair rooms are 220 to 223 (I think). I prefer this block as it is in the middle and you are not looking across to the front of another room. I prefer upstairs, but my wife has trouble with the stairs, so this year we are stopping in a deluxe room facing the main pool and near the restaurant. Unless you are expecting 5 star you should be very happy there. It is in a good position with shops for most things are out the front. Drinks can be bought out the front and put in the fridge for about a third of the price the hotel charges. The same with restaurants as a pleasant walk along the road along the beach leads to good cheap restaurants and the road is closed to vehicles.
