I don't know what airlines some of you are flying, with all the "sitting in my lap" comments. Every plane I've been on has seats that go back about four inches at the most. The difference is barely noticeable.

What's with the shape of the headrests, though? If you lie straight back, your head is pushed forwards so that your chin is on your chest.

I prefer to sleep on flights of any length. It's best for everyone, even though I snore sometimes. Otherwise I end up shouting at the movies, because let's face it, they are sooooooo stupid.

Usually, the best way to get some sleep is to get a pillow or two and lean against the window. I hate it when there's an inexplicable gap between the seat and the side of the plane -- that's valuable ass-room wasted.

The only thing that annoys me about seat recliners is the people who seem to think it's a see-saw, and adjust themselves every minute or so.

But even they are a very minor annoyance compared to the real scourge of the airways -- children.

And I know you all think your children are lovely and precious and soooooo cute. But they're not. They are evil and should be kept in a soundproof cage at the front of the plane where they can easily be jettisoned in case of emergengy, cushion the blow of a head-on collision, or used as floatation devices in the case of a water landing.

Finally, I find it highly amusing that this thread is a spin-off from an earlier one about the most annoying things about tourists. If tourists annoy each othter so much on the way to Bali, why should anyone expect them to be delightful once they arrive?

Number one on the list of tourists' annoying habits: pettiness.
