I think this is a personal thing and entirely up to you. When I used to stay at a hotel I always left a few thousand rupiah under the pillow so that whoever was cleaning the room found it. I reckon that after that my room was always kept extra spick and span, even to the loose change I left lying around on the table being stacked in neat little piles. If you do decide to tip just make sure that you don't go overboard and tip everybody, just be selective.
