Hey,

4 of us (Me, my wife, my brother and a friend) stayed there in January. It was really nice. We had rooms 101 and 102. These were inter-joining and were excellent because they were right down the end and it meant we had the end of the pool to ourselves which was quite nice.

The Pool access comes from a balcony area (although it is on the ground) with a gap in the wall with steps into the pool. The pool access makes up for the lack of a swim-up pool bar. You just organise your own.

Some people who were there at the same time had what I thought were the pool view rooms, but they managed to make them pool access rooms by jumping the 3/4 metres into the pool from the balcony!

The double room has a huge king size bed. The rooms also have 2 bench type beds with matresses, so depending on how small or keen another 2 people were, the room could sleep 4.

The bathrooms have a huge marble bath, but they take quite a while to fill.

The Television was a decent size but the reception even on the normal channels was a bit fuzzy. Not much of a selection of satelite channels either. ABC asia Pacific was good though to catch up on news. But who watches much television in Bali anyway.

The airconditioners seemed fairly new and really worked quite well. While at the Bounty hotel we had the AC going full ball 24/7. At Kuta lagoon we would often turn the temperature up to say 24 degrees or even off.

We had originally been booked into pool view rooms, but when we got there we decided to bargain a price to upgrade to the pool access rooms. The walk in rates for rooms were per room per night:

Standard 450000Rp
Pool View 600000
Pool Access 750000

We were asked to pay 150000Rp per room per night to upgrade but ended up getting them for 100000Rp per room per night which was the best money we spent!

The breakfasts were OK, not much choice, but ordering omlettes made it worthwhile, plus the toast.

The staff were very friendly and relaxed.

The hotel location is very good. It is right on Jl Legian (+100 metre lane). It is very close to Jl Melasti and so not too far from the beach. Close to La Porcetta, Peanuts. Not far from Nero, Mammas, Bali Aussie and Gosha.

Thanks
Brock
