Apart from KLR I have only stayed at the bounty hotel.
Compared to the Bounty the KLR was a little bit more expensive for me, but worth every dollar.
In my opinion the Kuta Lagoon Resort offered everything I wanted in a Bali hotel. It was a perfect base for shopping and dining and entertainment. The bed was real nice, the pool was nice, the air conditioner exceeded my expectations, the included breakfast was adequate, the staff were very helpful and the atmosphere was very relaxed.
For me and my needs the Kuta Lagoon Resort fit perfectly.
Everyday I returned to the hotel I felt relaxed and content with the money I had spent, and I could not ask for more in a hotel for the price I paid.
The Bounty is fun but in quality terms (well the ones I take notice of) it is a rung below the KLR.
