having a vaccination for it. I know of 4 people who have contracted typhoid over there in the last 12 months.
A lot of people will argue the pros and cons of this, but seriously what is a jab in the arm if it can prevent you contracting any of these diseases which can be so easily avoided.
Have checked my vaccination card and this is what I have currently been vaccinated for as they can be contracted anywhere:
Hep A & B
ADT [adult Diptheria / Tetanus]
Oral Polio
and obviously Typhoid.
Personal choice obviously but as another forumite earlier today said to me, if you cant afford the Travel Insurance, then you cant afford to travel. I think of vaccinations as another form of 'travel insurance'. Cheers
