Talking about "chip on the shoulder..." Maybe you should have another bintang or a valium, and re-read my answer to your post? Sorry to disappoint you, but my sensibilities were not affected a bit by your original post. On the contrary, I agreed with your list of recommended shots, except for the Hep B. Personally, these are the shots I have had for years and wouldn't leave home without them. When someone asks me for my advice on this subject, this is exactly what I recommend. But...

1) How was my particular post made to "stir the pot"? Did I attack anybody? Insult any one? I was just stating, not only my opinion, but that of the CDC, in Atlanta, Georgia..
2) Since you know so much about the disease, Hep B, please tell us how does one catch it?

Personally, I really do not give a hoot about how many shots you get, and if in your country, both Hep A & Hep B are administered together does not necessarily mean it is right. It is not done so in the other industrialized countries. But I forgot, that you are from Australia.

And while you are at it, why did you not mention shots against Japanese Encephalitis. Now, this is a dreadful disease, with no cure once you got it, fatal in 30% of the cases, and a 80% probability, if one survives, of severe neurological sequel. This JE is present in Bali (and all over SE Asia, for that matter), but is constantly being under-reported.
