My first question is relating to bringing back paintings can you bring them back on the plane with you? or do you have to get them shipped over?

My parents are freaking out as to how i'm gonna stay in contact i'm thinking e-mail is the go? Does anyone know about emailing from bali i'm staying in legian do they have internet cafes or something??
Also is there anything i shouldn't bother buying over there like that won't make it through quarantine back in Oz like bongos???
