We were there in September and had no probs changing NZ$100 and NZ$50 bills. Used PT Central kiosk inside Matahari just by supermarket at Kuta Square. The lady counts the notes at the speed of light and is very honest. Also used PT Central just outside the steps as you go into the department store (a tiny wee glass fronted shop). Or just go to Kodak shops. You can take your calculator to check but we didn't need to with PT Central. We were getting 5950rp for each NZ dollar when changing cash. Have a great holiday.
