We stayed at Puri last October, excellent place, but from memory they didn't have Bintang only Bali Hai which is ok but its not Bintang. The place was very friendly and clean, you'll love it. As for changing money we used the Kodak shop which is to the right of Puri, excellent there, had large sized notes and were extremely accurate.
Have fun we go back on Christmas Day but at staying at Hotel Sanur Beach this time.
