Changing NZ currency to Bali Rupiah

Hello to all the frequent travellers who have been to Bali, and yes I am new to all this only posted a message about 3 times on the Bali Forum, man!!! it's so cool, I am flying over to Bali 4th December with my husband, as a well deserved break from the kids and work plus celebrating my 40th Birthday. Has anyone stayed at the Puri Santrian in Sanur, we will be staying there for 6 nights.Thanks to the Bali Forum I have made contact with Helgie becasue he is so highly recommened, he will be getting all my DVD's and Playstation games and dropping them off at our hotel.
Now the question I need to ask, am I better off changing my money in Bali than in NZ and why is it better in Bali, I'm a bit worried about the money changers, can anyone out there can recommend me a trustworthy money changer. Any help will be very much appreciated.
