Although there may have been duty paid on a lot of things bought in Bali you still can't bring back as much as you like to Australia. The bottom line is there has been no Australian duty levied so they are considered to be "duty free" no matter what. If you then hide them, and get caught, as has been suggested, you could be in for a little face to face time with the Custom's men. Not the most memorable or enjoyable way to finish an overseas holiday
