has "Thank You" gone out of vogue? As I scan the posts here (I know- I'm bored) I notice lots of questions with lots of answers where the person asking the question is never heard from again- no Thank You, nothing.

If you asked a stranger in the street for directions do you not say thank you? Now I'm not suggesting saying thank you to every answer. But surely one thank you after getting some good responses is not unjustified. Often people ask a question and you wonder- did they read it? or did everyone waste thier time responding.

Those who have been on this forum a while will remember the poster (a few months ago) who asked the same question every week for 6 weeks. What an insult to those who responded the first 5 times. In the end everyone said- "didn't you like our 20 answers last time?

There are many good people on this forum who go out of their way to answer questions (sometimes over and over and over). Surely a thank you is not too much to ask. You would pay good money for the info jere. I know this forum has saved many people a lot of money (me included).
But think if no-one answered your questions wouldn't be much of a forum would it.
Just food for thought. Feel free to shoot me down if you think "Thank you" is an over used commodity.
