I just have to ask - how in the hell do you cope you non gripping /slippery rubber throngs on the streets of Kuta & Legian ? I'm not meaning to be rude - all I can say my dear is you ARE a far better /gamer person than I am if you wear thongs.
Gawd,I think I am ever SO careful where I walk & how carefully I look where I am steeping BUT last trip in June I managed to get away with only 4 tumbles ( with scrapped knees only twice ) AND I had NOT had anything to drink at the time ! 1 in Kuta,1 in Legian & 2 in Lovina.( only wrecked 1 pair good Aussie leather sandals & 1 cheap Bali pair - thank heavens for shoe repairs ) Blimey the footpaths & roads are just SO uneven & with the roadworks of a few months ago it was a nightmare stepping anywhere.As I said you ARE a LOT gamer person than I am if you always wear throngs in Bali.Not only the grip but my feet would ache too much from all that walking with out a decent pair of sandals with arch support & comfort.God I MUST be getting old <LOL>
