Just wanted to see of other Australians have had a similar experience when organising a few cubic meters of cargo space to Australia. Visited recommended cargo company in Bali, agreed on rate per cubic meter of $240US. Paid deposit.
Returned to Australia (waiting on items to be finished ready for shipping).
Two weeks pass. To my surprise received a e-mail stating changes to Fumigation laws/costs our new cost will increase to $340US cubic meter ($100US increase). Just curious if anybody has had similar expirence. Oh they are try to tell me that I must have wooden crate fumigated in Indonesia (whereas enquireis with customs/Quarantine in Oz indicated that i can chose to have it done here. (if required).
Any similar experience/info would be appreciated. Cheers Zippy
