We have just returned and I will share my experience with you. 3 years ago we went to The Living Room dressed in a single top and a sarong (me) and long shorts and t-shirt (my partner). We felt so underdressed that we sat in the corner and hoped no-one saw us. This time we were prepared. My partner wore good pants and a smart shirt and I wore a good dress and high heels to both The Living Room and Ku De Ta. Well, I don't know if things have changed, but at both restaurants we had people sitting next to us in board shorts and single tops (you know the ones with the huge arm holes). So I really don't think it matters what you wear as long as you are comfortable. We didn't feel overdressed as there were other people dressed up as well.
Enjoy your stay - I'm jealous.
