My husband and I are going to Bali on Thursday (our first holiday without the kids). It's 20 years since we first went to Bali on our first OS holiday together ..... so romantic. We went again in 2000 and took the kids but this will be the first grown up holiday for a long time. Used to eating at 5:30pm etc we want to now try the grown up Bali and go to restaurants like Ku De Ta in the evening but, my question is .... what do people wear to these places? Are my (clean)cargoes OK or do people get more dressed up? Also, how much should we budget for places like these? From the forum's recommendations I would like to go to Ku De Ta, TJ's, Gateway to India etc etc. We are staying in Sanur at the Sativa. How much does a taxi to Kuta cost and how long does it take? Is there a way to go that avoids the roadworks? Which restaurants might lay on transport and is this a good idea to ask? Any tips?
