Anywhere around Campuan is an invitation to get robbed...usually in the middle of the night, and while you are sleeping. If you wake up during the robery, just fake you're asleep. That is far better than getting stabbed or your throat cut.
Campuan and Penestanan, its neighbor, are notorious areas for thefts. Hardly a day goes by that one or another is not reported in the Bali Post. Beware, and be advised.
