Recommended Travel Insurance.........
Just a little story for you all on travel insurance,
We have been to Bali many times but our trip in April was the first time with our 18mth old son. We've always taken out travel insurance but up until this trip never needed to use it.
Our travel agent recommended Cover-more as she has never had any trouble with claims etc and this only proved to be too true.
On the 7th day of our Family Bali trip, Little man Devon came down with a fever and at home would not normally bother us too much but as day turned to night and he started to throw up as well we thought we had best call the hotel doctor.
He came and checked him out gave him some antibiotic very similar to one he has used before at home and left. Leaving a nice bill for $70US.
The bill didn't worry us at the time but as soon as we got back I filled in all the paper work and faxed it off to cover more with the bill from the doctor and then waited.
About two weeks had gone past and I thought I might give the insurance company a ring just to make sure that they got the fax. I was looking for the phone number on the forms when I was reading the small print and noted that they would only process the claim with original paper work.
So I packed up all the paper work and posted it rather than making a phone call only for them to tell me that I had stuffed up.
Imagine my surprise however when arriving home from work on the very same day to find a cheque on the mail for the doctor and medicine.
Needless to say they would have received the original's and thought I was quite the idiotJ
We are going again in 18 sleeps and guess what It will be cover-more all the way this time too!
