Just came back from Bali two weeks ago. Went with friends who spent 10 nights in Bali and then 4 in Singapore on the way home. We were all suppose to return to Sydney on the Thursday, well we returned from Bali but they had to stay on in Singapore, their 9 year old son had an emergency appendicitis (hope spelling is right) and they couldnt get a flight home until last Tuesday. They did have travel insurance luckily as the hospital bill was $10,000. The flights were also covered by insurance $3,000 with Malaysian Airlines (as they couldnt get a Qantas flight and had gone frequent flyers). Thank goodness for travel insurance.
