Thank you for that information. My husband actually stayed at the Marriott on his way back from China in March. He just couldn't remember exactly what the pool area was like. We had a bad experience once in Bangkok where we stayed at the Sofitel, beautiful hotel but a pool with only 2 sun loungers! I will also take your advice on Penang and thank you once again for taking the time to answer me.
