and it's nothing to do with lacking salesmanship finesse. They would know grabbing someone by the arm (even to tourist children) digging in with long nails, to physically haul them off to shops is not done in any culture i know. And also when they say nasty things about a person in Bahasa Indonesian, because that shopper hasn't bought something. None of which has happened to me, I've only seen and heard it, but if it did- yeah i might get rude.
