Hi, great report by the way. Some friends and I are thinking of going to Gili Trawangan next August, and since we're all first-timers we have a lot of questions. First things first: how was the beach? On which part of the island is the beach the best. We are thinking of staying at Vila Ombak on the south coast, have you heard of it? Do you know of any other good accomodation with AC and close to the beach? Where is the best snorkelling/diving? Was there a lot of noise at night from the different bars - I mean, we want to party, but not necessarily live in the middle of a party. Did you think that there were a lot of tourists (too many?) or was it possible to find your own strech of beach? Did you visit any of the other Gili islands? Did you exchange your money before you came there or is it possible to do that on Gili Trawangan? I can think of a lot more questions, but I'll write them down later if I haven't scared you away with all my questions. Thanx.
