We stayed two nights in the Puri Bunga last August. It was nice for a moderate hotel. The rooms are set in the hill accross the main road from the water. We didn't go to the beach but I think it is about a block down the road. The rooms are small but comfortable. I think we paid $40 for the room which included breakfast.

If you are looking for something a little nicer, try the Sheraton or the Sengigi Beach Hotel which are both very nice and more private and resort-like.
