I know most of the people on this form have raised their concerns about the recent violence in Indonesia and how it is affecting Bali, if any. I plan to visit Bali this May. However, I too do have similar concern about the current situation. During the riot last May, there were violences which resulted in death of many local Chineses. I've read of Chinese women being raped, Chinese shops destroyed, etc. Though I'm not Chinese, I came from other part of Asia and look Chinese. Is this something I should be concern with when I visit Bali this May? Any comments on this would be greatly appreciated.
